CLS is also measured for Real time user post load too. Is there a possibility of understanding what elements shifts post load?

Hi Adhiraj,

Have you had a change to try out our real user monitoring? www.debugbear.com/docs/rum/real-user-monitoring

Layout shift often depends on the specific page interactions that the user performs on the page, so RUM data will give you a more complete picture.

I see that we'll have to install a snippet to get result. Will check with the product team if this can be done and what load will it put on the current structure. We want to be able to pick out elements that shift during the interaction.

will this be able to help us understand that? ex - some icons shift when we scroll down, a menu bar shifts etc

Adding the snippet won't add any extra load on your infrastructure and only have minimal impact on client-side performance.

With the snippet you'll be able to see what elements shift, even if that's in response to scrolling or other page interactions.

You could also try scrolling down the page as part of the lab performance test www.debugbear.com/docs/injecting-scripts#example-scripts
