I would love to be able to add small custom notes to specific test runs / time points, to document my optimization efforts.
They might then be optionally visible in the timeline charts or in the top tests / dates timeline.

If you want to link to a ticket or changelog item you can put the URL in the description and it will turn into a clickable link.

Currently all annotations apply to all pages in the project – let me know if you need the ability to filter to specific pages.

Love this feature! Thank you for adding.

Just a couple things I ran into while adding for the first time.

I first looked to add annotations on the Project Edit page thinking since they where project wide they would be managed at the higher level where the tag settings are. I can get used to the page level managing, but what do you think about making an Annotations page at the project level?

Also in the future could the project wide annotations continue over into same-project comparisons?

Hey Jacob, thanks for the feedback. Adding an Annotations tab to the Edit Project section is a good idea.

Do you mean showing the annotations in the Compare tab? I plan to add support for annotations there soon.

Love this request. I see two good usages.

1. It would be so helpful to annotate a date with a small note for deploys like "release 2.14" or if a ticket was responsible for changes "ticket 24567". A bonus feature would be to be able to link to the ticket or changelog.

2. For an user to add an explanation for what attributed to metric changes. This could help lessen the messages asking for change explanations.
